NYFW hiTechMODA Season 7 Super MODA Model Competition

Updated: Feb 24, 2022

hiTechMODA kicked off NYFW with their exciting modeling competition, sashing winners in multiple age divisions. hiTechMODA takes pride in hosting the model competition as their mission is to highlight young women and men's careers and to acknowledge models who carry special attributes that never go unnoticed. Models were judged throughout the competition based on their stage presence, video and screen presence, confidence levels, and walking ability, all essential to becoming a top model. hiTechMODA’s very own, PS Privette producer and CEO hosted the competition with assistance from Emmaree Garner, a returning NYFW season 6 winner and Omayra Rodriguez, a former Mrs. Mundo Latina USA 2020. Judging the competition was MODA Model Olivia Swaidek and founder and director of Clover Nicholas Policarpo, out of Brooklyn, NY. Joining Olivia and Nicholas was special guest & model Miss Universe Nepal 2020, Anshika Sharma. In addition to her pageant and modeling endeavors, Anshika runs her own charity foundation that supports the education of underprivileged children in rural Nepal.

The competition was fierce as each of the competing models showed skills in all of the categories, with professional attributes. The MODA mini competition winner was Jade P. of Massachusetts. Skylee H. who traveled all the way from Hawaii, won the title of MODA preteen. The MODA teen winner was awarded to Bailey S. of Nevada. The MODA model winning contestant was Juliana W. of Tennessee. Last but certainly not least, Suzanne H. of Texas was rewarded with the title of MODA Ms Model. Each model impressed the judges and scored the highest in each of the categories and represented strong teamwork skills, poise and elegance on the runway and courageous confidence. To reward the winning contestants, each of them walked away with the opportunity to come back to NYFW to compete in September 2022 for a walk with hiTechMODA in Paris, a 30 minute model consultation with Model Mentor by Rachel Lauren, a pair of Marc Defang shoes of their choice, a personalized swag bag from Josie Faces, and a pigment eyeshadow pallet from the prestigious New York Makeup Academy. hiTechMODA anticipates the return of the winning contestants to compete in September during NYFW and looks forward to continuing to give all models a chance to be recognized for all of their hard work and devotion to the runway.
